Kingstonian

The team currently competes in the Isthmian League Premier Division. Established in 1885 by the YMCA as Kingston & Surbiton YMCA, the club began participating in the Surrey Junior Cup in 1893. A split occurred before the 1908–09 season, leading to the creation of two separate clubs known as Old Kingstonians and Kingston upon Thames A.F.C. After a period of inactivity during World War I, the two clubs reunited in 1919 under the name Kingstonian and joined the Athenian League. Subsequently, in 1929, they were admitted to the Isthmian League, where they have been competing ever since. Nicknamed "The K's" or "The Ks," Kingstonian spent three seasons at the highest non-league football level between 1998 and 2001, winning the FA Trophy in back-to-back seasons in 1999 and 2000. Presently, the club does not have a permanent home ground and shares the facility at Imperial Fields in Morden with Tooting & Mitcham United. Previously, Kingstonian had their own stadiums at Richmond Road from 1902 to 1988 and Kingsmeadow from 1989 to 2017. Following financial difficulties in 2001, Kingsmeadow was acquired by AFC Wimbledon in 2003, allowing Kingstonian to continue playing there. However, with AFC Wimbledon planning to relocate, Kingsmeadow was sold to Chelsea in 2016, who decided against Kingstonian remaining at the venue.
